At the 19th Qatar International Purebred Arabian Horse Show in Doha, Girlan-Bey** made his first appearance representing Athbah Stud. And what a triumph for Athbah!
Girlan-Bey** won his class with a phenomenal score of 93.75 p and later claimed the Silver Champion title in the finals!
We congratulate Athbah Stud on this fabulous start and hope for many more successes to come.
The Gold went to Al Khalediah Stables' World Champion Baanderos (Marwan al Shaqab x HS Bessolea), only 0.25 p ahead of Girlan-Bey**. High score horse of the show was the lovely Atheena (Ashhal al Rayyan x Ass Windi), who scored over 94 p and took the Gold title among the senior mares.

2009-11-16 GIRLAN-BEY** EUROPEAN TOP FIVE!
Last weekend at the European Championships in Verona, IT, Girlan-Bey** made his grand comeback to the international show scene - and what a comeback!
After a sparkling presentation, rewarded with 5 x 20 for movements, Girlan-Bey** was 2nd in the 7-9 year old stallion class, close behind Al Khalediah's chestnut F Shamaal.
Girlan-Bey** crowned his comeback by claiming a Top Five-title in the finals on Sunday. F Shamaal was gold champion.
Our thanks to Paolo Capecci, who showed Girlan in great style, to Woody and everyone at Ca di Gianni and the ringside supporter gang!
2009-08-17 Success at the Swedish Nationals!
Two Girlan-Bey daughters went to the Swedish Nationals - our own OKS Bialka and Cengira, bred and owned by Eva Palmaer. With 42.33 pts and 3x10 for movements, Cengira was 2nd in their class. With the same score as the 3rd place, OKS Bialka took 4th place. Our home bred and home trained fillies certainly gave the 1st and 3rd placed US imports by Marwan al Shaqab a good run for their money…
